menswear adaptations.

Finding inspiration has become quite of a challenge for me.  I have found a tonne of images and quotes regarding womenswear and the use of textures and furs, however, for mens...its lacking.  I have found various campaigns and editorials on my concept, so it isnt a complete waste of time, but as i was going through my journal earlier i noticed just how much womenswear i had - remembering i am doing a MENSWEAR collection.  Anyway, the reasoning behind the selection of images i guess, is for the silhouettes, textures, shapes, fabrics, prints, colours and other means - doesnt matter who is wearing it!

Here are some great shapes and textures i would love love love to explore - in a more 'manly' sense

High collars - big chunky polar necks or draped cowls and even extended hoods...

Panelling using contrast fabrics and colours to give it that further "oomph"

Combination of matte and dull fabrics as well creates more interesting textures...

Shoulder detailing could be something to explore - have to learn to push my designs further!  Anything is acceptable as long as it is innovative and justifiable!!!
