inspirational approaches.


pure fur hood...pop colour embroidery to lift.


These were images i took in whistler: looking at the natural moss which had formed on the trees and created these interesting uneven tentacle things...I managed to take a sample (which are in the bag) but they have dried out now - still could be interpreted into an interesting knit pattern...


looking at the all fur attire the hunters wear in the arctic.  They wear the skins of the animals they kill (advertising them to the other members of the villages - almost like a hierarchy) which they get their wives to sew.  
The image on the right is of a woman bitting the skin of a caribou to soften it so it is easier to sew.
