From the beginning I have been interested in finding answers to these questions. In particular I want to focus more on looking at how nature can determine what people wear...hence why I am choosing to look at the Eskimo people and their way of dress - mixing this with a contemporary approach to menswear.
Over the break i travelled to Canada (Whistler in particular) - yes...i know its not the Arctic but its much closer then Australia - and took inspiration from the snow, the track marks, the people...anything that spoke to me...these are some of the photos which led to the beginning...
Looking at how the snow fall on the trees...the weight it has on the leaves and branches - the moss that droops from the tips, the fallen...
